Go to https://openathens.nice.org.uk/ and complete the online form or follow the link to “Register for OpenAthens” on the Journals and Databases tab at https://www.evidence.nhs.uk/
 

This is a multi-stage registration process and you must activate your account before you can use it.

1. Enter your first and last name
    
2. Enter your work email address - if you don't use a Royal Berkshire email address it may take longer as it will need to be approved.
    
3. Enter your organisation – start typing in Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and choose from the drop down list
    
4. Fill in the rest of your personal details
    
5. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click on Register

Password – click on the link in the activation email to set your password. The password must be 8-20 characters and a mixture of letters and non-letters. 
 

Note you can also log on using the email address with which you registered.
