Question: I've found an article on Google but I don't know how to access it

Firstly have you checked the library resources to see whether we hold it in our electronic or print journal resources. You can check by logging into OpenAthens or by using the Journals A- Z found here: https://journals.nice.org.uk/?referrer=logout. You can search the Library catalogue for the journal here: https://swims.inforlib.uk/iguana/www.main.cls?surl=HEE which will tell you if we hold it in print format.

If we don’t have access then contact the library to see if we can obtain a free copy for you, citing whether it is just for your personal use or for other members of the team to also have view of the article. This determines what copyright we need to apply to the article. Most of the time we will be able to obtain this as we speak to all health libraries in England or use the British Library where necessary. If we do need to go to the British Library we will ask you first how essential it is you have access to this as there is a cost to the Trust.

If you are not a member of the library you will need to register to access this service.
